Abstrak

This study develops a hypothesis to test the relationship between transformational leadership, public service motivation as a mediator, and job satisfaction as a moderator in influencing employee performance in Konawe Regency. The research sample includes 218 employees. Path analysis results indicate that transformational leadership significantly impacts job performance and public service motivation. Public service motivation enhances employee performance, serving as a crucial mediator in this relationship. Job satisfaction moderates the relationship between transformational leadership and job performance, amplifying the positive effect of transformational leadership. Specifically, transformational leadership directly improves job performance and public service motivation, which in turn, significantly affects job performance. Job satisfaction strengthens the influence of transformational leadership on job performance. The study concludes that transformational leadership significantly influences employee job performance, both directly and through public service motivation. Job satisfaction also plays a moderating role, enhancing the positive effects of transformational leadership. These findings underscore the importance of transformational leadership in the public sector to boost employee motivation and performance, with practical implications for leaders in Konawe Regency. The study contributes to the literature by revealing the mediating role of public service motivation and the moderating role of job satisfaction. Future research should expand the geographical scope, employ mixed-method approaches, and explore other influencing variables for additional insights
